What you’ve said……….

A picture (or video) paints a thousand words – This is a recent review of the front 9, which was posted by Simon ‘The Hairy Golfer’ Hirst on his YouTube channel.

7th September 2021…Wall to wall sunshine & blue sky, enjoy!

And the Back 9……Thank you Hairy Golfer!!

“It is definitely worth a visit to West Monmouthshire just to say that you’ve played on the golf course which is recognised as being the highest in Britain! It’s an 18 hole course with a par of 71 but, at just over 5,800 yards (yellow tees), it is by no means a slog. Indeed, there’s some delightful holes and needless to say, the highest course in Great Britain offers some excellent views. Off the course too, West Monmouthshire is well worth the visit and what’s more, it’s a place where the value for money is hard to beat”.

“I love this place. A truly unique course with so much to offer. You need to pull out the bag many a shot with slopes and contours of this course. The views are astonishing looking over to the Brecon Beacons and further alike. Member and Clubhouse staff are the most friendly I’ve come across with any Club I’ve been to and there are many! Thank you for your welcome again and look forward to coming back in the summer.”

“Good test of golf, course in great condition with spectacular views and a very warm welcome in the clubhouse.”

“We loved our visit to West Mon on Friday 13th. Great weather and course condition, with more than the average amount of interesting holes. Lovely welcome from fabulous staff and members. Overall, a great day out and we’ll certainly be back. Diolch yn fawr.”

“Challenging course, great views, last three holes are especially a treat to play, very hospitable welcome, reasonably priced, will be back to play here again for sure!”

“Enjoyable round of golf and good food after as part of a society. The staff and all the members we met were extremely friendly and welcoming. Great value and fantastic experience, highly recommended.”

  1. I’ve been following “The Hairy Golfer” since he started on You Tube so, when he says “I love this” I sit up and take note! Please can you, therefore, stick me on your mailing list as my wife and I would be interested in playing in your Open Week, if we’re around. Cheers! Your course looks amazing!!!!
